The Schedule W is mainly used by Non-Delaware residents whose place of employment is in Delaware but occasionally work outside Delaware. For Pennsylvania residents who work in Delaware, the recordkeeping for this form is extremely important since the Delaware tax rate is higher than Pennsylvania’s personal income tax rate. Print this form to keep track of your non-working: holidays, vacation, sick, personal and weekends. For all other workdays outside of Delaware, document the location and date(s) for all workdays outside of Delaware; including those days you work if on a holiday, vacation day, sick, personal or even working outside Delaware on a weekend.
